Day 7 of 9

Healing of the sick

From the Novena to the Infant Jesus of Prague

Sacred Scripture: Matthew 19:14

Meditation for Day 7

The Lord said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them' (Mt 19:14). The Infant of Prague invites the sick to come to him with the trust of children, certain of his compassion.

Today's prayer commends to the Divine Child all who are ill in body or troubled in mind, asking that he who healed the sick during his earthly ministry would touch them now with his mercy, according to the Father's holy will.

Daily Novena Prayer (recited every day)

Prayer of Thanksgiving to the Divine Infant Jesus

Divine Infant Jesus, I know You love me and would never leave me. I thank You for Your close Presence in my life. Miraculous Infant, I believe in Your promise of peace, blessings, and freedom from want. I place every need and care in Your hands. Lord Jesus, may I always trust in Your generous mercy and love. I want to honor and praise You, now and forever. Amen.

The traditional Prayer of Thanksgiving that concludes the Infant of Prague novena, preceded each day by the three petitions beginning "O Jesus, Who has said..." Recited each of the nine days.

Concluding prayers: Many novena traditions add one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and one Glory Be at the close of each day's prayer.
