Sacred Scripture: Psalm 139:13-14

Meditation for Day 7

The psalmist praises God who 'knit me in my mother's womb' (Psalm 139:13). Saint Gerard's care for mothers is a care for the smallest and most hidden human life, and for the women who carry it.

Through his intercession, pray for a safe pregnancy and delivery, for the protection of the child in the womb, and for all who long to become parents.

Daily Novena Prayer (recited every day)

Psalm 139:13-14

You formed my inmost being; you knit me in my mother's womb. I praise you, because I am wonderfully made; wonderful are your works! My very self you know.

This psalm of the child knit together in the womb (New American Bible) may be prayed as the daily closing of the novena.
