The Catholic Center at the University of Georgia in Athens has served the UGA campus and broader Athens community for more than 75 years, making it one of the oldest Catholic student centers in Georgia, within the Archdiocese of Atlanta. Four Sunday Masses — including a livestreamed 10:30 a.m. liturgy — and daily evening Mass Monday through Thursday keep the community rooted in the Eucharist throughout the academic week. Student life flourishes through FOCUS Bible studies, the Ignite freshman ministry, a Catholic Student Association, and a weekly Sunday night dinner open to all.
