Holy Spirit Catholic Church

Founded on January 1, 2008 through the merger of three southeast Cleveland parishes — St. Catherine of Alexandria, St. Timothy, and St. Henry — Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Garfield Heights is a diverse community rooted in the African-American experience, entrusted to the Capuchin-Franciscan Friars of the Province of St. Augustine. Under Fr. David Domanski, OFM Cap., the parish sustains a rich array of ministries including the Thea Bowman Center, Praise Dancers, and the Knights and Ladies of St. Peter Claver, while sharing its campus with Archbishop James P. Lyke School, continuing a Catholic presence on East 131st Street dating to 1898.
