A national African-American Catholic parish in the heart of Acadiana, St. Edward in New Iberia has long served as a spiritual home for the region's Black Catholic community, welcoming all with its motto "Welcoming You Home." Three Sunday Masses, early weekday Masses Tuesday through Friday, and a Saturday vigil fill its calendar, while St. Jude Chapel provides perpetual adoration and the parish school and Family Life Center extend its community mission within the Diocese of Lafayette.
