St. Michael

St. Michael Parish in Steelville, Missouri traces its origins to 1949, when fourteen families gathered for the first Mass at the Crawford County Courthouse under Fr. Joseph Boland. The parish grew alongside the Ozark tourism boom on the area's float streams, eventually building a permanent home that was expanded in 1992. Sunday morning Mass serves the community, supported by a long-running Ladies Guild and religious education program.
