Founded in 2010 when the community acquired a former Jewish synagogue in Morton Grove, St. Mary's Knanaya Catholic Church is one of Illinois' few parishes dedicated to the ancient Knanaya Catholic community, serving approximately 750 families under Pastor Fr. Siju Mudakkodil within the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago. The parish offers daily morning and evening Masses throughout the week, bilingual Malayalam and English Sunday liturgies, a Perpetual Adoration Chapel open 9 AM–9 PM daily, and a religious education program with over 445 students.
