About Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church
Founded in 1891 by Czech and Moravian settlers who named it after their patron saints, Sts. Cyril & Methodius in Granger, Texas is one of the Diocese of Austin's oldest Czech-heritage parishes. The community built a brick church in 1916, established a parish school in 1899 staffed by the Sisters of Divine Providence, and today remains a close-knit rural parish with Knights of Columbus, KJT and KJZT fraternal societies, a food pantry, and an active youth ministry.
