Tucked into Chicago's Bridgeport neighborhood, the Monastery of the Holy Cross is a community of contemplative Benedictine monks of the Subiaco Cassinese Congregation who follow the Rule of St. Benedict through prayer, silence, work, and hospitality. Open to the public for daily Mass and the Divine Office, the monastery also offers a guesthouse, an Oblate program, Solemn Vespers celebrations, and a Monastic Experience Weekend for those discerning a religious vocation.
