Rooted in the 1,500-year Benedictine tradition, the Basilica of Our Lady Help of Christians was established in 1876 as the spiritual heart of Belmont Abbey's monastic campus in Belmont, North Carolina, within the Diocese of Charlotte. The community of monks follows the ancient "ora et labora" rhythm — praying together six times daily — and the basilica offers weekday Masses, a Saturday vigil in English, and a Saturday Spanish-language vigil Mass, drawing students, faculty, and the wider Piedmont faithful.
