Our Lady of Guadalupe in Conejos, Colorado, holds the distinction of being the first Roman Catholic parish established in modern-day Colorado, founded in 1858 by Spanish colonists who migrated from Taos, New Mexico. Nestled in the San Luis Valley within the Diocese of Pueblo, this historic Hispanic parish celebrates two Sunday Masses and a Saturday vigil, continuing a Catholic presence in southern Colorado stretching back more than 165 years.
