Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica in Youngstown, Ohio, is one of the few minor basilicas in the Diocese of Youngstown, having received that papal designation in 2014. Rooted in the Italian immigrant heritage of the Brier Hill neighborhood, the parish hosts an annual Italian Festival and maintains a special bond with the Major Basilica of Saint Mary in Rome. Rector Monsignor John Zuraw leads a community that gathers for Sunday and daily Masses and cherishes Marian novenas and Eucharistic Adoration.
