About St. William Catholic Church/Santa Maria de Guadalupe Mission

Established by immigrant farmers and raised to parish status in 1973, St. William serves roughly 1,000 families on Phoenix's west side — a diverse, predominantly Spanish-speaking community from across Latin America. Following a fire that destroyed their building in May 2024, the parish continues Sunday worship at Santa Maria de Guadalupe Mission with an English Mass and three Spanish Masses, supported by a Society of St. Vincent de Paul food ministry.
