St. Anselm Abbey

St. Anselm's Abbey, a monastery of the English Benedictine Congregation on South Dakota Avenue NE, has anchored Catholic life in northeast Washington, DC for generations. The community chants the full Divine Office daily — from 5:50 AM Morning Prayer through Compline — celebrates Mass every morning, runs St. Anselm's Abbey School on the same grounds, and opens monthly Oblate Sunday gatherings to laypeople across the Archdiocese of Washington.
