Founded in 1847 along the shores of the Gulf of Mexico, Our Lady of the Gulf is one of the oldest Catholic parishes on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The Bay Saint Louis community rebuilt after Hurricane Katrina and continues to grow through its adoration chapel, Sacred Music Workshop, Holy Trinity Elementary School, and daily morning Mass each weekday. Sunday Masses include a traditional Latin celebration, and the parish's Knights of Columbus Council #1522 anchors its robust community life within the Diocese of Biloxi.
