The stunning neo-Renaissance church completed in 1926 — honored as Baltimore's most significant architectural improvement that year — features twin 110-foot limestone bell towers and a sanctuary centered on a marble altar modeled after the Basilica of St. Anthony in Padua. Conventual Franciscan Friars have shepherded the parish since 1906, and today's congregation of roughly 1,000 parishioners gathers for weekend Masses and a Saturday vigil.
