Founded in 1950 by Mother Teresa Margaret of the Sacred Heart, the Carmelite Monastery of the Infant Jesus of Prague in Traverse City, Michigan is a cloistered contemplative community under papal enclosure within the Diocese of Gaylord. The sisters observe full habit, chant the Divine Office in Latin, and celebrate the Traditional Latin Mass (1962 Missale Romanum) daily — with their sole apostolate being prayer, especially for priests.
