About St. Stephen

Founded in 1892, St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church in Leisenring, Pennsylvania stands as the mother church of the Ruthenian Byzantine tradition in Fayette and Westmoreland Counties, having given rise to eight daughter parishes across the surrounding region. Its distinctive onion-domed sanctuary — rebuilt in 1990 — hosts Sunday Divine Liturgy at both 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. under the Archeparchy of Pittsburgh, with Rev. Jerome G. Botsko serving as pastor. The Ladies' Guild continues the parish's long tradition of community stewardship.
