Saint Francis de Sales parish in Miami Beach traces its roots to 1940, when it was built as a mission chapel of Saint Patrick Church, and was consecrated as an independent parish in 1964 by Bishop Coleman F. Carroll, the Archdiocese of Miami's first bishop. Today the parish serves a bilingual community with five English and Spanish Sunday Masses—all livestreamed—plus daily weekday Mass, and is home to active ministries including the Legion of Mary, a Charismatic prayer group, and the Emaus movement.
