About Our Lady of Sorrows

Our Lady of Sorrows in Bernalillo, New Mexico is one of the oldest active parishes in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, established in 1857 under Archbishop Jean Baptiste Lamy. The historic Santuario de San Lorenzo features four-foot thick adobe walls, hand-hewn wooden vigas, and an earthen floor — a rare surviving example of Spanish colonial mission construction in a town founded in 1695. Sunday Masses are celebrated in both English and Spanish.
