The mother church of the Diocese of Marquette, St. Peter Cathedral has stood in Michigan's Upper Peninsula since Venerable Bishop Frederic Baraga laid its cornerstone in 1864, and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2012. Daily morning Mass is offered throughout the week, with added evening Masses on Tuesday and Thursday, a Saturday vigil, and two Sunday morning liturgies.
