The Cathedral of Saint Patrick in El Paso, Texas anchors the Diocese of El Paso on North Mesa Street, its Byzantine-Romanesque façade rising over the city since its 1917 dedication. The cathedral houses 20 stained glass windows of mouth-blown German antique glass, a 27-foot marble high altar, and a centuries-old Our Lady of Guadalupe painting donated from Zacatecas, Mexico. San Pedro de Jesús Maldonado, canonized by Pope John Paul II in 2002, was ordained here in 1918. Daily morning and bilingual noon Masses are offered throughout the week.
