St. Stephens Byzantine Catholic Church

St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church was founded on June 28, 1972, in North Huntingdon to serve Byzantine Catholic faithful moving to Pittsburgh's eastern suburbs. Under Pastor Father Vasyl Yakubych, the community celebrates the Divine Liturgy each Sunday morning and Saturday evening, and during the Great Fast observes the Friday evening Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts — honoring the ancient liturgical heritage that draws both cradle members and those newly discovering the Byzantine Catholic tradition. The parish is known for its annual pirohi sale, a cherished Eastern European tradition.
