Founded in 1914 with a gift from a generous non-Catholic benefactor, St. Mary Church in Quanah has served the faithful of the Texas Panhandle within the Diocese of Fort Worth for over a century. Beginning with just ten Catholics at its dedication — blessed by Bishop Joseph P. Lynch — the parish has grown into a close-knit community of roughly 50 families celebrating Sunday Mass each week.
