About St. Joan of Arc Chapel

St. Joan of Arc Chapel on the Marquette University campus in Milwaukee is one of the most historically remarkable Catholic chapels in the United States — a genuine 15th-century French Gothic structure built around 1420 in the Rhône Valley, dismantled in the 1920s, and donated to Marquette in 1964 by Marc and Lillian Rojtman, making it by far the oldest building in Milwaukee. Known as "the Heart of Campus," the chapel features medieval stained glass, a 13th-century Gothic altar, and the famed "Joan of Arc Stone," and celebrates daily Mass for the Marquette community within the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
