About St. Annes Shrine
St. Anne's Shrine in Fiskdale traces its origins to 1883, when Monsignor Elzear Brochu fulfilled a vow he had made to St. Anne after recovering from serious illness. The shrine's devotional character was sealed in 1887 when a parishioner reported a healing at the altar, and an outdoor pavilion was soon built to accommodate pilgrimage crowds. An authenticated relic gifted by the Shrine of Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré in Quebec arrived in 1893, and the Assumptionist Fathers have guided the parish since 1955. Daily Mass and four Sunday liturgies continue the shrine's tradition of welcome in the Diocese of Worcester.
