Established in 1957 when Bishop Schexnayder divided St. Margaret Parish to serve Lake Charles's growing south side, Our Lady Queen of Heaven offers four Sunday Masses alongside daily morning and evening Mass and hosts a Perpetual Adoration Chapel. The 1968 church building — designed in a deliberately contemporary style championed by founding pastor Msgr. Irving DeBlanc — embodies the liturgical renewal of Vatican II and remains a distinctive landmark in the Diocese of Lake Charles.
