About St. Agatha

Founded in 1871 and rebuilt in Coates after a fire destroyed the original Vermillion church in 1913, St. Agatha is one of the oldest Catholic communities in the southern Twin Cities metro. Under the care of Fr. Brian Lynch, this small farming-community parish within the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis gathers for a single Sunday morning Mass and sustains its faith through the Women's Club, sacramental programs, and a parish cemetery that marks generations of local Catholic families.
