One of Indianapolis's oldest Catholic parishes, St. John the Evangelist was founded in 1837 and today serves a vibrant, diverse downtown community within the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. The parish gathers for three Sunday Masses — including a 10:30 a.m. service livestreamed online — and daily noon Mass Monday through Friday, and is known for its Eucharistic Adoration Chapel, Haiti Ministry scholarship program, and prison ministry through St. Dismas.
