Founded in 1841, St. Raphael is the oldest Catholic church on Kauai and one of the oldest in Hawaii, established just two years after Catholics gained religious freedom on the islands. Its original stone chapel, built in 1842, still stands alongside a newer worship space in Koloa. Daily 7 AM Mass is preceded by the Rosary, a Wednesday Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help follows the morning Mass, and a First Saturday Healing Mass draws the faithful from across the Diocese of Honolulu.
