About Our Lady of Good Voyage Chapel
The Shrine of Our Lady of Good Voyage stands at the gateway of Boston's Seaport District, continuing a ministry Cardinal Cushing began in 1952 for the fishermen and maritime workers of Boston Harbor. The current chapel — the first new Catholic church built in Boston in over sixty years — was dedicated by Cardinal Seán O'Malley on April 22, 2017, and its interior incorporates salvaged stained glass and furnishings from closed Archdiocesan parishes. An apostolate of the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, it offers daily noon Mass on weekdays and three Sunday Masses, drawing residents, workers, and visitors from across the Seaport.
