Founded in the 1940s by a small group of Conway Catholics and notably integrated from its earliest years — a rarity in the South at the time — St. James the Younger has grown into a vibrant parish of approximately 1,600 families in Conway, South Carolina. The parish holds English and Spanish Masses throughout the week, maintains a Perpetual Adoration chapel, and sustains more than 50 active ministries, all within the Diocese of Charleston.
