About St. Nicholas of Myra

Founded in 1919 by Father John Dorohovich and formally chartered in 1921, St. Nicholas of Myra is a Ruthenian Byzantine Catholic parish in Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania, under the Archeparchy of Pittsburgh. The church is distinguished by a hand-carved iconostasis and a 28-foot gold dome installed in 1972, rebuilt after a 1943 fire destroyed the original structure. The Divine Liturgy is celebrated in English on Sundays at 11:30 AM.
