Our Lady of Tears Summer Mission overlooks the historic mining town of Silver City, Idaho, in a chapel built in 1898 — acquired by the Catholic Church in 1933 for $1 to save it from becoming a roadhouse. Considered one of the three oldest surviving Catholic parishes in Idaho, the restored building hosts a seasonal Sunday Mass once a month in June through September as a mission of St. Paul's in Nampa. The chapel's name honors the seven traditional sorrows of Our Lady.
