One of the oldest Catholic communities in southern Minnesota, St. Mary Parish in Madelia traces its roots to 1856 and celebrated its first Mass at the current Highland Road site in 1872. Part of a tri-parish cluster in the Diocese of Winona-Rochester, the parish is home to a Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel (dedicated 2012), operates St. Mary's Catholic School and Noah's Ark daycare, and gathers for a Saturday vigil at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday Mass at 8:00 a.m.
