Founded in 2001, the Byzantine Catholic Community of Austin brings the liturgical tradition of the Ruthenian Archeparchy of Pittsburgh to Central Texas. The community gathers at Saints Peter and Paul Church for Sunday Byzantine Divine Liturgy—or Typika when a visiting priest is unavailable—and celebrates major feasts with Vespers and Moleben services, offering a rare Eastern Catholic home for the Austin metro area.
