St. Andrew Catholic Church has served Block Island, Rhode Island since its first Mass on August 12, 1888, with the current church building blessed in 1900. Under pastor Rev. Joseph Protano, the island parish is known for its stunning stained-glass "Six Days of Creation" windows crafted by Katherina and Frederik Breydert, and for welcoming both year-round residents and summer visitors with daily morning Mass and additional seasonal Sunday Masses.
