About St. Francis Xavier
Founded in 1892 by nineteen Dutch and German immigrant families in rural Conklin, Michigan, St. Francis Xavier became a full parish in 1945 and today belongs to a three-church cluster with St. Catherine's and St. Joseph in the Diocese of Marquette. A bell tower raised in memory of Fr. Joseph Zaskowski and a Shrine of the Resurrection in the parish cemetery mark its deep community roots. Masses run several weekday mornings and Saturday evenings throughout the year.
