The Newman Center at Cal Poly Humboldt serves the Catholic student community in Arcata under the Diocese of Santa Rosa. Chaplain Fr. Gnanaprakash Thumma leads a student leadership team that organizes Sunday Mass at nearby St. Mary's Church, weekly adoration and confession on Thursdays, and monthly Catholic College Nights — bringing faith, fellowship, and formation together for college students on California's North Coast.
