Founded in 1912 by Ukrainian immigrants, Transfiguration of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, has maintained more than a century of Byzantine Rite worship in northeastern Pennsylvania's coal-country Hanover section. Under the pastoral care of Fr. Walter Pasycznyk, the parish celebrates the Divine Liturgy on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings and is home to the Holy Year Choir, which has served the Archeparchy of Philadelphia (Ukrainian) for over forty years.
