The National Shrine of Our Lady of Prompt Succor sits on the historic Ursuline Academy campus in New Orleans, honoring a devotion the Ursuline Sisters brought to Louisiana in 1810. "Prompt Succor" means quick help, and Our Lady under this title is venerated as Patroness of the City of New Orleans and the State of Louisiana. The shrine hosts daily 5 PM Mass, a Saturday Perpetual Novena Mass at 11:30 AM, and maintains Circles of Prayer that carry written petitions from across the country into its sanctuary.
