Founded in 1701, Ste. Anne de Detroit is the second-oldest continuously operating Catholic parish in the United States, deeply rooted in the city's French colonial origins. Its soaring 1886 neo-Gothic basilica — currently under restoration — is an architectural landmark in the heart of Detroit, and the parish honors the legacy of Father Gabriel Richard, whose canonization cause is active.
