The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart is the mother church of the Diocese of Pueblo, tracing its parish roots to 1873 and its present Late Gothic Revival building to 1912–13. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1989, the cathedral's soaring spire, pointed-arch windows, and vaulted interior anchor the Catholic community of Pueblo, Colorado, with daily noon Mass Tuesday through Friday and two Sunday Masses presided over by Rector Msgr. James Koenigsfeld.
