Saint Mary Church in Utica, Illinois, stands on ground where Father Jacques Marquette offered the first parochial Mass in the Illinois Country on April 11, 1675, before an assembly of 5,000 Native Americans—a moment commemorated by a monument on the property. The current brick-and-stone church dates to 1888, and today the parish offers daily morning Mass, a Saturday vigil, and Tuesday evening Eucharistic Adoration. It has been designated one of six pilgrimage sites for the Diocese of Peoria's 150th Anniversary (2025–2027).
