St. Mary of the Woods in Whitesville, Kentucky, lives its motto of "Forming Catholics for life" through an unusually rich array of programs: perpetual Eucharistic Adoration, PREP/Families of Faith religious education, a Grace Marriage enrichment ministry, and an Awakening outreach for inactive Catholics, all housed in the Horn Community Center. The Diocese of Owensboro parish operates its own parish school and partners with Trinity High School, and has launched a "Together We Can!" capital campaign. Four Sunday Masses — including an 8:00 p.m. evening Mass — and a daily 8:00 a.m. weekday Mass serve a broad cross-section of Daviess County Catholics.
