St. Vincent Basilica occupies the heart of Saint Vincent Archabbey in Unity Township near Latrobe, Pennsylvania — the oldest Benedictine monastery in the United States, founded in 1846 by Archabbot Boniface Wimmer. Pope Pius XII elevated the Romanesque Revival church, dedicated in 1905, to a Minor Basilica in 1955, and the community offers two weekday Masses each morning alongside three Sunday Masses and a Saturday vigil within the Diocese of Greensburg.
