About Sts. Peter and Paul

Saints Peter and Paul Parish is a Roman Rite Catholic church located in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, part of the Diocese of Scranton. The parish is named after Saints Peter and Paul. Saint Peter was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus and is traditionally considered the first Pope. Saint Paul, an Apostle to the Gentiles, wrote many of the New Testament epistles. Both were martyred in Rome in the 1st century.
