Founded in 1974 and relocated to its current Hughes Road campus in 1986, St. John the Baptist in Madison, Alabama has grown into one of the Diocese of Birmingham's largest parishes, now serving more than 2,700 families under Pastor Rev. Bryan K. Lowe. Five Sunday Masses — including early morning and a 5:30 PM evening option — together with daily morning liturgies accommodate the parish's busy, diverse community. The campus includes a Catholic school, St. John Paul II Catholic High School, a columbarium, a religious gift shop, and an adoration program featuring First Friday all-night exposition.
