Founded by Dominican priests in 1844 and blessed in 1848, Holy Rosary in Manton, Kentucky is one of the oldest rural Catholic parishes in Washington County, established to serve Catholics too far from neighboring churches. Now part of the Archdiocese of Louisville with roughly 100 faithful — some descended from the original founding families — this "quiet, simple, country place to worship" still gathers for Sunday and weekday Masses and hosts community traditions like the Manton Music Jamboree in its historic parish hall.
