St. Thomas the Apostle in Abiquiu, New Mexico is one of the oldest continuously active Catholic parishes in the American Southwest, with a church first erected in 1773 in the Río Chama valley northwest of Santa Fe. Today the parish serves as the spiritual anchor for six outlying mission churches across the surrounding communities, from Cañones to Gallina, alternating Sunday Masses with the San Juan Bautista mission in Coyote. It belongs to the Archdiocese of Santa Fe.
